I'm looking to get a messenger-bag style camera bag. I found Crumpler bags, which I think have a lot of potential, but I'd like to see some better pictures of them in use, since it doesn't look like I'm going to be able to get one locally. All of the official Crumpler sites are pretty much impossible to functionally navigate. Bagyou.com was the closest I was able to find for decent pictures of the bags.
Anyone have a Crumpler messenger-style camera bag? Anyone care to share some pics of it? I want a bag that will hold 1 body, 2-3 lenses, and a few random knick-knacks. The Budgie Smuggler looks promising, as do the 15 Love and the Tall E, but I'm pretty open at this point.
Two related questions. 1. Anyone seen these in any stores? 2. Can anyone else suggest any other brands offering decent messenger bag style camera bags? |

They've got some funky names going on with those bags, don't they? |

Funky names indeed, and yeah... UK's not much help, but thanks. I saw tonight that it looks like Richmond Camera carries them, and I'll be in Richmond next weekend, so I'm going to try to look while I'm there. Still, if anyone has any photos / stories / suggestions, I'd certainly appreciate them! |

Hey there drew, have you checked out Cru;mpler USA, or ebags?
Looks like either one of those might be of some help to you.

I actually saw both. I couldn't really find a good representation of scale, and that's what I'm really after. I found that bagyou.com did the best job. I was supposed to go to Richmond this weekend, where I was going to visit Richmond camera (who supposedly stocks it) -- but the trip's been pushed back to next weekend. The anticipation is killing me!! |

I have a few Crumpler Camera bags and a backpack. I like Crumpler because they are very well built bags and very padded and flexible. I have the "Farmer's Double" backpack, you can store your camera and a couple lenses in the bottom and it has a laptop compartment and room to put other stuff. The camera bag I have is the "Next Venue". It has 2 levels of storage. I can put my camera and more on top and there is access to the bottom level through the front to store my lenses etc and I can wear it like a messenger bag when it gets heavy. I am addicted to Crumpler. The best luck that I have had with prices and customer service is with //www.bagyou.com they are pretty good. |

Do what I do: call the camera store and tell them what you need to know and ask if they would take a couple of shots and email them to you!! All of my camera shops are AT LEAST 45 minutes away, and before I drive that distance, I sometimes call them and ask them about stuff, and they have sent photos before. Worth a shot! (so to speak!)
