just got a foot of snow...blue sky...time to take pictures...

in this shot

i was trying to capture the rays of the sun...but i also got of of this stuff...

are these scratches on my lense?
...i dont see any scratches...

little bit of help please

Things on the lense do not photograph as lines unless you are shooting above f256. You just can't get infinity and what is on your lens in focus at the same time. If you have vague blurry areas in the finshed shots, suspect lens scratches, clear lines are part of the subject.

And here I went thinking it was an expressive farmer--never know where that there mow-darn art will show up!

Took this in 95, I think...using a Ricoh P&S with zoom...which I still have!

It is the Juliet Formation in Wiltshire, UK. One of the most complex formations to date.

Thank you, Steve! Awesome. We don't see much of that around where I live. They are fascinating formations. Unfortunately, I keep up on them about as much as the U.S. press keeps up on the British royalty--which is to say, not very well.

Do you fly? (Yer'self I mean? :))
