Here are my "before" pictures taken minutes ago from a second story window toward the street.
The front walk:
Same window, view down and across the street:
Bet it looks a whole lot deeper come the morning! I plan to post the "afters" here later.

| We live in Southern Ontario (Hamilton area) & it is coming down like crazy here. According to the radio & television, white-outs are happening everywhere. Looking out the window right now, I think we've probably received about 3-4 inches of snow, but it's blowing around so it might actually be less. Hey Kiwinick, wanna trade places for a few months? :) |

I will be wrapping mine up. But I use my backup in these situations. I am using my Nikon 5700. However, the snow is very fine and powdery, and it goes all over. Just a couple of test shots I took before, and there was snow everywhere. Make sure to wrap the cameras up. And also, when coming back into a warm house, dont take it out of the carry case right away. You want to avoid condensation inside.
I will be posting some panorama shots on my website starting tonight and tomorrow. I want to have the snow pile up some, before shooting. So far we got about 2 inches, but the worst of it does not get to my area till 2PM.
Still, it is coming down pretty good.

I just went out and shot. That's about 5 steps away from my back porch.

It's snowing like crazy on Long Island. I'm actually working tonight and the visibility on the roads is awful. I saw 4 accidents within a 12 mile period.
It's going to be a long night!! |

| We just started getting the snow here in Mass. The predictions for my area are 20-30" I can't wait to fire up the snow blower! (as long as it warms up a little. It was -9F this morning) |

Unfortunately, my wife bought three nonrefundable tickets to the Producers for tomorrow night. Anyone think the theatre might issue a refund because of the weather? |
Most likely they will refund ONLY if the show is canceled. If the show goes on and your wife and daughter cannot or choose not to go, most likely they will not issue a refund.

You are soooooo....lucky!
It seems to have pittered out here and passed us by. I'm really pouting over this!!!! I want my weather back--give it back! Now! I love the snow and winter winds and all the quiet that comes with it. We know what to do with all the white stuff! It has no business being in New Jersey. I demand that all photographers in N.J. go outside NOW and blow North!!!!!
(Damn, it's not working.....) |

In MD we got about 4" so far, but my camera also broke today. I have to revert to my old one.

Out here in the sandbar in the middle of the Atlantic, it's just starting to come down good. 2 inches so far, expected to last through tomorrow afternoon. I med a pepsi-and-english-muffins run so I'm good to go.

I think we wound up with 12-15" here in central NY although I didn't actually measure. It's so windy here I don't think you could get an accurate reading anyway. Here's a quick pic shot through the window.
It's still snowing here, but mostly blowing.
