still rather primative but the doors open for a few of you to enroll and test out some of the functions... Ill let a few of you in to peek around and test things out but keep in mind its in the beginning stages so many of the tools needed to simplify how to use various functions are not in place but give it a whirl....

1) youll need a paypal account in order to get paid
2) youll need to complete the enrollment form completly cause it customizes the page for your account when ya do

3)Active X will need to be enabled in your browser in order to upload Photos in bulk fashion

4) Keep uploads under 700PX wide cause they will be resized to 700 anyway

5) no need to create thumbs cause it will do it for ya.

6) when ya set your selling price for various print sizes they can not be changed YET. they can in the future...

7) BLABlaBla...

Thats pretty cool. I am actually looking for a sie like that right now to sell my portraits and weddings and such. So let me see if I have this straight(because I am new to the online ordering and proofing). I would upload a shoot.....set my prices....and use credit cards through paypal. How much does paypal get? How am I notified of orders? Just curious on the little stuff. I do appreciate the link, and I may even be contacting you this year for some calenders.

One more thing I was curious about. Can I customize the ordering process at all to let the customer order various sizes and packages?

youll get an email each time an order has completed along with the actual receipt containing all the photos in that order.

sorta like this: you go out and shoot a session.... upload images to a proof code you create then when customers enter the proof code you provided they will see only there photos, they will have the option to purchase 4x6's 5x7's and 8x10's you set the price for each size and when they complete the process it will transact via paypal... after the order has been verified and completed they will be returned to there receipt and you will receive an email with their order.. really works well and is easy for customers to use... I suggest you enroll and test the upload function then view the photos with the proof code you create and upload to... take it thru the whole process even experiment with the ordering function... it wont charge you unless you follow thru via paypal.... even then if you do follow thru and have set up your account you would receive the email notification and funds will automatically deposit in your paypal account....

I offer wallets and 16x20's and Canvas prints. Will I be able to customize what I offer?

in the future larger sizes will be available.. at the moment 8x10's are the largest...

I like the concept, but I have various print sizes and types, so that kind of limits me. I appreciate input.

Maybe its just my connection at the moment but the site seems to be a bit slow. You might want to look into speeding it up a bit so you don't loose the impatient viewer.

The problem with this kind of service for me is that if I go out and take 1200 photos it would take 2 weeks to upload printable files.

well this method allows you to upload images that are intended for web preview the customer will not be downloading the full size image they will only get a preview... you will get a receipt of their order then you have the photos printed as you would do normally then ship the prints to your customer.

I set up a test login account use the webmaster login "test"
1) after logging in create a new proof code
2) next click the upload images button
3) next you will have to install the image upload applet so the upload tool will install.
4) next you will set the proof code for the images you are uploading
5) upload images that are 700px wide that will be the display width for the general public
6)after you have uploaded images go to the main site and enter the proof code you created and you will then be able to view your uploaded images.
