I vaguely recall reading of this problem in an earlier version of iPhoto, but can't find it now in Apple's or Adobe's support forums...

Upgraded to iPhoto 5 today, love it. However, the contextual menu option to open a photo in an external application is now grayed out, even though Photoshop CS is clearly selected in the prefs. Does anybody recall this? I think the fix had something to do with the way Photoshops preferences were saved, and the it involved deleting a prefs file in CS, but I don't recall what or which.

:-)

Excuse my ignorance, but : what ?
Have same problem.
Double-clicking the thumbnail does open the image in PS though.

There's a thread about this problem on Apple's support site, and I'm sure there will be one soon on all the other sites where iPhoto users congregate. I'm confident that the fix is fairly simple and will be announced soon.
