My new pentax 1stDS arrived in the mail yesterday....just as I left for work (typical eh ?). All is well though - I got to play with it today for a while, and man, this whole dSLR thing is more than a little appealing. The camera itself is great, I love it, and considering it was 50 bucks cheaper (with sigma 18-125) than the cheapest rebel (with only the kit lens) I could find, I'm doubly thrilled.
Here's a few shots from the front yard this morning -    if anyone is interested. |

Congrats on your new camera, may you take many wonderful photos with it.
Speaking of your photos: I can only see the purple flowers, the other links aren't working.
The flowers look lovely, but I'm confused about the date - if you took those in your yard this morning, how come the "date uploaded" says January 21 ??
If that is because of the date currently on your camera, then you better change that quick smart before you take any photos for challenges. Would be such a shame to get a DQ on your first submission with your new camera!

Duh, girl, duh! Guess that wasn't one of my brightest moments.
Thank you, Harvey (a.k.a. coolhar) who enlightened me via pm that the reason for the date on the photo was that it was the date the thread was started.
Never occured to me to check if it was actually a new thread.
I'll now be a good girl girl and wait for my bus to take me back to the home *g*
