too bad about the development of the land behind your house..

the dog photo is interesting.

Love the dog shot, love that sort of image. Check out the "eagle & kill" in my portfolio...

We had some snow too, just enough to snarl traffic and cancel the game I was going to go to tonight. Good on ya for getting out to shoot in it. The dog shot is cool, looks like they were enjoying the snow too.

You just get better and better all the time. I love the dogs, and the trees are right up my alley of what I always adore. I hate to hear what is going to happen, though.

I love the dog picture too. That capture does lend a phrenetic urgency to the image. Would have gotten a high score in the breaking new grounds challenge. At least from me.

The dogs are just awesome! The only thing i would change is make it less of a square and more of a rectangle, to increase the speed of their run visually.

well, Thank You all!

I love the dog shot too. But if I were going to crop it I would have pulled more off the bottom then the top. The dark along the top edge gives the image a strong border and even wthout the dark the composition would be stronger with the dogs placed lower. I didn't see that much wrong with the original.

The trees on the other hand....

What about them? There is nothing to them. Perhaps I am jaded as I spend 5 days a week in the woods down here, but I don't see anything but an ordinary treeline.

I do like that. Much more dramatic. That would look very good framed.

This cropping certainly makes it edgier; I prefer the original.

This one is just right! Way to tweak!

Composition-wise i would probably like to see something like this:

This is a quick hack to illustrate, of course.

This,

original

or this.

4th

One or the other. Slight preference for #4. Your shot.

I really like the original of Extreme Urgency. Way to capture abstract action! Also, very interesting lighting in Awaiting Suburbia (Summer). Kind of sad to hear about "them" building 284 units on the land.

Halfway between original and #4; needs a little less cropping on bottom than #4, to my eye.

Those dogs are just too fast for this ole fella,,,,,,,,darned eye laser surgery just ain't as good as I thought it would be...(hehehehe).

Humour aside, while this is not something I normally would (pardon the pun) focus on, I must say that it is indeed captivating.

My compliments to you sir, you made me look, analyze, and even get to appreciate something that I normally wouldn't have been interested in.

Bravo..
