im thinking about buying a new monitor
i edit my pictures on my laptop wich shows low contrast (HP Pavilion zt3000 widescreen) and check them later on my 6 yr old Fujitsu 17inch bigtube monitor and than everytime notice a HUGE difference
where the laptopscreen shows alot of detail in the dark parts the bigtubemonitor shows it as nearly black
so everytime i submit a pic its a real gamble
from the remarks i get i figure it should be somehow inbetween the two
i never was good at gambling games anyway and already made a few misjudgments inhere
so does anyone of u have a strong recommendation about whatever monitor to think of regarding it has too be most suitable for (technical) digital editing
so who can help me out on this b4 i spent my money on the wrong one????

I feel where your coming from, with my old monitor naive editing looked fine on my old monitor but the smart folks here at dpc always spotted my half hearted editing.
Recently got myself a hp pavillion f1903 (19" lcd) and have not looked back. Only con is the inability to rotate to portrait mode (if you really need it) |

I think there are already a few really in depth threads on this. I would check the archives.
