Some of you will think I'm insane, but others might like the idea so I thought I'd share it with you.
I finally got sick of carrying all my stuff around, especially on big outings like a day at the zoo.
I wanted something for my camera gear as well as phone, wallet, jacket, drinkbottle, lunch etc etc etc.
This is what I came up with - geeky, but very useful.

Just buy a baby stroller, stuff your gear underneat and stick a baby doll in there so you don't look so weird. haha just kidding -- very nice ... err ... very creative.

the only problem I see is that the wheels are to small and you will find that every crack in the pavement will try to topple the trolley
go to the hardware shop and see if you can find some larger diameter wheels that will fit (and air filled are better than solid)
the only other thing you might need is some carry handles centered over the boxes so you can pick it up and carry it on real uneven ground
oh and a cooler :)

yes, Firsty, those wheels are on the list as a possibility.
I DO have a handle for picking it up (at the front, you can't see it on the pic).
Now to the cooler.... the draws are plastic.... perhaps some icecubes will do? *grin* |

I don't think it's insane. I actually have seen photographers do this already.

Will they let you wheel that into a zoo? |

If they let you bring a bunch of screaming brats who throw their ice cream at your ankles to the zoo I can't imagine they would have a problem with this. |

In the future Karin, could you do a little better job on the lighting in the picture so we could see the setup better?
LOL - just kidding - great shot!

The folks that run Starlake Amphitheatre used my Rebel today as an example of a 'professional camera' - as in "That is a professional camera - we do not allow those in here".
One reason to to have a baby doll...to hide the camera inside of!

When confronted with a scenario such as this, I would simply show them one of my photos, and nip that argument in the bud.... While it is true that the camera may seem "professional", the fella pushing the buttons sure isn't..... (Hopefully in time I will improve) |
