Thanks for posting.
One of the reasons I hadn't referred directly to the post that instigated this thread was because I appreciated that the discussion there was centred on one particular comment and on a user who had made that same comment somewhat extensively.
I wanted to point out more generally that the Helpful feedback doesn't strike me as a good tool to use to evaluate the validity or value of someone's comments on a general level as opposed to the comments of that particular individual.
As I said above, in general, I don't feel that a comment of "snapshot" is incredibly rude or unacceptable but I don't deny that it's unusual, unimaginative and probably a little dismissive for a user to make it his or her main comment left.
