I wonder if someone could help me with this issue that's bugging me.

I have uploaded a picture to my portfolio, but when I view it online the colours are not as saturated as when I view in Photoshop. This is really bugging me 'cos I want the uploaded file to look the same as when I edit it.

I thought it might be the background that was changing and causing an illusion so I looked through a tube but the colours are definitely different.

Am I missing something in Photoshop to do with colour spaces or something?

Before saving for web, use Image.Mode.Convert to profile and choose sRGB as your target profile.

as dwoolidge said, convert them to sRFB for web viewing. But do keep the original ( quiet possibly the Adobe RGB) for print.

Can someone explain for me.. if they can.. if I have to do this when using The GIMP?

I've never really noticed a change in color saturation though..

That's done the trick.

Thank you so much, I can sleep happy now :)
