One of my uncles bought the Canon A75 - and he hates the Zoom Browser software that comes with it.
Is there any other software that is compatible with this camera to download pictures to the computer.
I suggeseted that he get a multimedia card reader.
Until then if there are any programs - please inform me.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers all.

What is his OS? You may not even need software. See pg 111 in the manual. |

Get a card reader and use IrfanView. Fast, versatile, free. Adequate card readers can be had in the 10-15 dollar range.

I second the card reader, I got one for my wife. The software that came with the 20D for downloading is pretty brain dead, much easier to simply use a card reader. |

Definitely get a card reader. You don't need software to download them -- the card simply shows up like another hard drive or CD -- you just copy the files like any others. It's faster, safer, and you don't need your camera to do it. |

I agree with this... by far the simplest and best solution.
Who needs more software on your computer when Windows explorer will serve just fine?

Thanks guys - for now I will download the Camp2PC program that Oakvilleonca suggested.
That is until I get him a card reader.
Its so easy to use - since its the only way to use recovery programs.
Some cameras like my olympus - displays the camera as a bulk storage device-like a seperate drive - similarly my fiance's Minolta X20 does the same. This is much easier.
Thanks again guys.
Cheers.
