I am a little confused about "workshop" folder , an option provided in portfolio sections. What exactly would it mean to upload any pictures in workshop?
Any guidence would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

you can see the images in your workshop, but that folder is hidden from others who may be browsing your portfolio. it's a good place to put images you might reference in forums, but not necessarily want to be seen as part of your portfolio.

Uploading a photo in the workshop means it does not appear in your portfolio for other people to see. People can only view images there if you give them the direct link. It's good if you have a photo you only want to show a couple of people and don't want the whole of DPC to see.

But it also appears when browsing the galleries, right? So there's a chance that anyone can click on the thumbnail and view it. |

correct, so, if you want to keep it completely hidden, don't select any galleries... |

Aha! It's just that I have been seen challenge entries floating around the galleries recently and I know that these images don't appear in the portfolios. Thanks for the tip, Skip. |

i put my images into my workshop folder until i have them ready for print... then i move 'em to my public storefront. keeping them in the workshop folder keeps them out of view of the public until i'm ready. plus it makes it easy for me to remember what images i'm not done with :)
