Does anyone know a good site or free software that translates texts?

from portugeus to english there seems to be always errors...

Just for fun took this text and translate it from english to other languages and to english again few times a came up with this:
"It is that all it knows a good place or a free software, that translate the witnesses?"

This is what i mean with the bad translation.
It's the tipical thing i'm finding a need a good translator.

There is no such thing. Even good human translators are few and far between. Some of the best starve, because most people do not and cannot value the skill and effort that goes into an impeccable translation.

i remeber using a pretty decent translator a couple of years ago when i was in a french class. of course i would have to always edit out a few error, but it was usually pretty good.
i think the address was this..but i could be wrong...give it a try, it does whole webpages too.

Here's what I use for work
BS Generator
My bad, you needed a Translator not a BS Generator.
Babel Fish as Butterflysis pointed out.
If you have MS Office 2000 or better one of the components available is a hook into Worldlingo so you can right click on text in any of the office suite and choose translate or you can just go there at WorldLingo
