EDIT: check last post in page one for update.

oh btw, the 2004 ninja 250 ex is a v-twin (two cylinders in a v) -- not an inline 4 (my cbr 600 is an inline 4).

Used to have a 1980 Yamaha 920 with dual carbs. Did not want to go through the complicated processes of adjustment. Removed the carbs as a unit and took them to an automotive shop as is. They were given an acid bath. Came back sparkling clean. Remounted them and the bike ran perfectly.

Don't know if this will add to the body of help that you have been given.

I used to ride one of these. A 1982 Honda GL500. Air suspension front and rear, I got it in 1996 and loved it. Those were the days.

This was my favorite bike...this was after the custom paint, before the custom seat and backrest, and before all the chrome and trailer hitch.

Well...I'm done for tonight. I took the bottom covers back off and sprayed some carb cleaner all though it -- and pointed the hose part into the jets and blasted let them soak while then did it a few more times.

I'm putting it back together now. There's a few bolt holes that really have me wondering whether I'm going to get it all back together right, but I guess time will tell...from what I remember, everything just goes back like a puzzle (heh we'll see).

Thanks everyone for the help.
