I do not know if you are feeling the same, but the comments are becoming scarce at every challenge.
I am an amateur with no formal training in photography and sometimes I am afraid of making a comment, so maybe I am part of the problem. Any tips for us "the rookies" to stop this from happening? the only way to get better is by the feedback of the community.
Anyway, I feel that dpchallenge is an excellent media to expose our (how to say it) "inner eye" to others. I am really thinking in becoming a member very soon. Excellent website congratulations, I have found some really interesting and useful threads here. |

The comments tend to go more to the real bad or real good images so maybe not getting any means your image is middle of the pack.
It's pretty normal to feel unqualified to comment when you first start out in dpc. Most of us felt that way in the beginning. Look thru the results of the challenges at the comments others have left and you'll begin to get a feel for it. A lot of it is basically what you like or don't like and you don't need any training for that, everyone's opinion is valid. After you've been here for a while you'll begin to pick up the terminology and understand what techniques yield certain results. Feeling comfortable critcizing other people's work will come gradually over time. Be patient and enjoy the ride.
