Well, 5 days later and still no order - I've been trying to get a Rebel and 2 lenses form these folks since friday - i have talked with them every day this week (sun, mon, tues) becuase their website shows no order...and they cannot tell me why no order - i mean, they have not shipped (was to ship on monday per sunday's conversation, tuesday per monday's conversation...)
At one point i was told it was 'verifying the address' but the charge was OK. I called my bank (a credit union) and they show a charge and verification. all a-ok.
today i call Adorama and and get a similar story...and bounced form person to person (none of whom identify themselves) and eventually get dumped into some un-identified voice mail box. I have no charge on my card today.
They said if there was a problem they would contact me...no email, no phone call, but when i attempt to talk to them, i hear there is a problem, but no one seems to be able to help me with the 'problem'.
i have been buying over the net and mailordre for going on 10 years now...even places in NYC and have had no problems.
Hmmmm....
Well, I called b&h, got a guy who identified himself. Odered my stuff there. We'll see. I want it by friday, but now i doubt that will happen.
I am Pissed off. Adorama will never see a dime of my money now. If asked for my advice, i'd say avoid them.
Perhaps i should have gone to walmart...but then they don't carry the lenses i want. I tried to stick with what the netizens say are reputable outfits...

I've had similar experence when ordering a lens and microdrive from them. They gave me some crap about verifying an address when its the same address and credit card I've used with them to order prints multiple times. After verifying the address half my order was backordered (not indicated on the site), so I cancled the whole thing and just ordered from B&H.
I still like their print service however I will be purchasing all my hardware from B&H. |

Screw 'em! Call you credit card provider, have the transaction cancelled and order from B&H.

Has anyone shopped online using Butterfly Photo? Url is: //www2.butterflyphoto.com/shop/home.aspx
I just ran across their site by accident while reading a camera review article (they were listed in a link section of retailers) - prices look decent.
This is not an endorsement, it's a question. Thanks. |

Your stuff should arrive as they said. I've ordered everything I have for my camera (got the camera itself at Best Buy)from B&H. Even with regular shipping, the stuff usually arrives between 2-4 business days. Over the past two years I've placed about 15-20 orders with them and haven't had one problem yet. Great prices, shipping, and service. |
