What crop makes this photo look better, if any.

Something between crop 1 and crop 2 I think.

I say crop one, but crop 2 could work also. But just a caution: If you are going to frame it, with either of those crops, you might lose some of Grandpa's head and maybe part of his ear. Unless you get a custom frame. Most frames cut about 1/4 inch on all sides. You might want to leave room for that.

Shouldn't be a problem as he can alter the border width on his print to allow for that.
