Ok here we go, I get up early take some photos, then I decide to wash my truck, (which is rare) so I go to the carwash and spend $11.00 on the drive through.
Then I say "hmm, good day to change the oil in my truck and wife's car. So I get the stuff and head home. First I can't find the right wrench to take out the drain plug. So I mess around for about 20 minutes using half ass things I find aroud the garage. Then I try for another 20 minutes to put the wrong oil filter on. So finally I finish the wife' car.
Move on to my truck, note I decided to change the oil in my truck outside, (not in the garage). Well I can't find the right wrench for that either. So I decided to look for the oil filter wrench for the truck, could not find one,but I did find the drain plug wrench. So I stabbed a screwdriver into the oil filter, started to turn and I slipped and busted up my knuckle pretty bad. Then I try to put the new filter on only to find out that it was the wrong one. I would go get another one but my truck is parked in front of my wifes car. Now to top it all off it is raining outside, I will have to finish the oil change in the rain, and there goes my $11.00 car wash.

LOL! I'm sorry to laugh at your expense, but from this side of the screen it's pretty darn funny! :-D
Really, though...that all sucks. I hope finishing isn't as difficult!

No he missed one aspect of your life - no one hassled him for doing the things he wants to do.

Sometimes our efforts are twarted to a degree that we personally feel providence has gone out her way to mock us. I say, give her the finger. rofl.

Finished, All good except, I put too much oil in. Had to drain some back out. First V6 I have ever seen take only 4 qts. of oil.

Dude, go to a Jiffy-Lube or something similar. It's soooo much easier, only costs a couple dollars more than doing it yourself, and they dispose of the used oil in an environmentally sound manner.

Don’t sweat the little things. If those are the worst of your problems; you’re doing better than most. |
