I have been looking for a 10D and gave up. Lo and behold someone comes forwared, $750 delivered.
Yesterday i ordered a 300D new, $679 after rebate (free shipping) no lens.
I can cancel the rebel and get the 10D - only $71 more.
Is it worth $71 more?

$750 sounds cheap for a 10D but if its legit.. go for it |

$71, if that's all the difference in price, you bet. The 10D gives more control over focusing and exposures modes that the 300D. 300D sets those based on the chosen shooting mode.

i do believe most people would say the 10d is definitely worth 71 dollars more.

Get the 10D. If you change your mind, you can eBay it for $100 profit. ;-) |

The 10D is complete (all cables/straps/etc) and has 6850 actuations.
This is someone i met over the web in another photo forum, so there is some risk i suppose. I can use paypal and UPS to somewhat protect myself I guess.

Unless there is some compelling reason not to go for the 10D, grab it. I bought mine used, but it was from someone I knew, and I had very high confidence that it was babied and taken care of extremely well. I didn't get such a sweet deal either! Good luck! |

For a $71 difference, only an accountant would tell you to get the Rebel. If you don't pounce on it, though, your decision will be made for you. |

I certainly agree with the majority, the $71 difference is so small as to make it a no-brainer. If you're comfortable with the seller (as comfortable as you can be with an on-line transaction) then deinitely the 10D.

Some of us, at one time, felt the 10D was worth a $ 1.000 more than the rebel.
