I went out yesterday to try to get some picture the the two challenges but the weather and light was against me.
These two are the only ones I was happy with but don`t fit the challenges.
Any comments/suggestion would by nice/helpful.

Are you any relation to geo_ben?
The top photo has a dramatic sky, but the stationary location and lack of detail or interesting shape of the subject doom the composition, imo.
The lower photo has nice framing and use of space, and the slight off-center position of the cathedral, and the slight angle of the foundation, keep it from being too static. I would like to see a bit more contrast in the cathedral itself, however.
Just my thoughts. |

To be honest the light was so poor I was lucky to get these two :)
It was late in the day and I was shooting at 800 iso

LOL, sorry. On one of my Art forums we have a member who calls himself Geo Ben. His first submission was a griffin. I thought you might be he *grin*

The castle one was 1/60 and the cathedral was 1/100
