Just as we have [thumb] support in form code, I think it would be useful to have [thread] and [tutorial] tags to quickly reference existing threads/tutorials by number.

Sounds good. But I think there'll be too many buttons. You can use the hyperlink tag just as well, can't you?

I'd kind of like post-specific tags so you can refer right to a post and not necessarily the entire thread.

This is somewhat possible, although not as easy nor as reliable as having a dedicated feature.

To do this, add '#' and the post ID to the end of the URL for the thread. The post ID can be found by hovering over the reply button and looking at the status bar (amoung other ways). This will cause the web browser to scroll to that post. For example, //www.dpchallenge.com/forum.php?action=read&FORUM_THREAD_ID=155982 is URL for this thread, so by adding '#1084406' (the post ID of your post) to the end of it it will scroll to that post -- //www.dpchallenge.com/forum.php?action=read&FORUM_THREAD_ID=155982#1084406

This is great for bookmarking specific posts to be able to refer back to editing steps or whatever, but has a major drawback when used in the forums. It can not scroll to another page. If the person reading it does not have the posts per page set the same (or similar) as yours, it doesn't work and the browser does not scroll at all.
