Finally I can post some photos and ask for opinions. Like these I have taken on Sunday and Monday when the lake started to freeze in, tell me what you think?
Or not??? Why don't they show? :(

Guess it's time to tell your friends that you are done with your old life... welcome to the clown house! ;-)
Excited to see everything you bring to the site --- nice shots...

P.S. I also recently had an Ice Abstract if you follow the link (i didn't link the thumb as to not take over your thread!)

I really like your fog pictures. As you stated it allows for great pictures without a distracting background.

Hi Sandymaya,
Welcome to Hell!! DPC eats at your guts til you can't stand being away from the update button. You scream as your submission struggles to reach 5.0 and wish everyone would leave comments! Some hope!
Wave goodbye to sanity...you are trapped now, and there is no escape!
Hope you enjoy it here...Mwaaahhhhaaaa!! |

Welcome to the assylum! (update, update, update....damn my update button is broken it only changes the time.!.!.!.)
Your "Yellow Revisited" entry was sorely underscored (IMHO)!
....and (random thought) how do you pronounce the name of your town? |

The easiest way to include DPC-hosted images in chat is to use the button on the message entry page and enter the IMAGE_ID of the image you wish to link. This is the number that appears after IMAGE_ID= in the link.

Thank you Steve, KaDi and Terry!!! :)
The pronounciation of that Town I am living in right now is not as it is written, even though everyone using this Town name for the first time does that mistake, including me :)but then again what do I know, I am actually german :0.... but I have been living in the UK for the past 6 years therefore I chose the UK as the country in my profile ;)
pronounciation is as if to say ready ending with ng, hope that makes it clear....if any other english person knows of a better way to write how it is pronounced, please leave it in here
I am still very excited to have become a member and I am feeling it is slowly taking over my life....as you say check, update, thinking of ideas for the challenges... I love it! :)

I've allways known it to be pronounced 'red-ding' (I've been to the fesival - highly recommended)
Aber ich nur ein Englander bin, dass in die Schweiz wohnen ;)
(and struggles with the language)

That would be "Redd-ing" if I'm not mistaken, the "e" as in "bed."
Welcome, Sandy. Some nice shots there.

Perfect way of putting it! See, it's easier for native english speaking people to give the right pronounciation example...So everyone at DPC should know now how to pronounce the name of the town in the UK which can be found between London and Bristol ;) |

After 4½ years I'm still homesick, there is no snow in the city where I work (Basel) but there's in plenty in our little village :)
So how does our little island compare to das Vaterland? You have to admit that food like fish and chips, curry, lamb with mint and ale is better than bratwurst, spaetzle, sauerkraut and weissbier ;)
