My daughter got this 'funky' lightbulb as a christmas present, I took a shot of it and did a little photoshop magic to make the water reflection - what do you think?

very cool abstract, im not good with abstracts so im not sure what else I can say...

An excellent photography subject and a generally well done image. You did not overdo the ripple effect too much.

The only improvement I might suggest is to try and merge the reflection better with the bulb. The right side looks detached from the bulb in an unrealistic way. I might select the reflection, tilt it upward to the right and gingerly inch it upward to match the bulb above.

Yours is a nice concept for a photograph. I like it.

That's a nice shot, but I agree the reflection needs to be aligned with the object a bit better. You might try some sort of dark texture or detail in the BG, separating the BG from the reflected black...

There is a Filter you can use in Adobe Photoshop called Flood from a company 'Flaming Pear'. I just applied the filter to the lower portion of the image, thats it.
