Hiya.
I have a picture that needs a little bit of blur to add motion to it. I am wondering if the use of the blur or smudge tool in photoshop to be used only in small quantities is allowed for this. I know it I may use any other tools in advanced but I cannot change the feel. If I were to be adding a motion blur would this change the 'feel'? Are these acceptable tools for advanced editting?
Thanks |

In general a background blur has been accepted, even if it is a "motion blur". The smudge tool has seen it's share of trouble. In the few cases we've been presented with, it has been used to totally change a background, adding texture that was not previously there. This would not be accepted, as it would likely be conseidered creation of a major element.

Although we've also recently DQ'd a radial swirl effect. |
