on my dell laptop I have "crt/lcd" Key (on my "F8" key but in blue)
so I hold down the blue function key (the "fn" down the bottom left ) while I push the "crt/lcd" key and it cycles through the lcd or the plasma or both
I'm not sure if I had to set the option to use both in the bios (form the setup screens you can get to during boot up)
hope this helps

sorry just re read your post do you meen the "tv out" on your laptop
I thought you were talking about a extra monitor
if tv out the software should be there for the tv from scratch if the laptop has tv out
right click on the desktop then select properties, then settings and have a look through the advanced properties and you should find the options to turn on the tv out in there

if it can be used as a monitor that would be the best way then you can use full monitor resolutions not the just the shit TV ones
you will need a cable that would conect to a normal computer and the plasma (details should be in the manual)
then just plug it into the external monitor socket on the laptop (it should have one)then use the first example I posted

On the manual says to use a VGA to VGA cable or a DVI to DVI cable but since my laptop has the VGA and the plasma DVI i bought one with DVI to VGA cable and the guy from the stor told me it would work.
The problema is that the computer is not finding the plasma. i go to advanced and i choose the second monitor and it does not have the monitor/plasma there. |

Ok just found the problem!!
The cable is a wrong cable... I tried on my Desktop pc and it works the other way around.
DVI on the pc and VGA on the plasma....
I'm now wathcing the threads at 30" or 75cm wide angle plasma. it's just fabolous but the quality of the image is not of a crt. thanks a lot for your time 1st-2click. |
