Does this lens make sense to anyone?

Aparently it comes out of some kind of scanner.

Would it fit the D70 and work ok?

Yes, it's an old AI mount Nikkor, it's a great lens.

I used one a lot on my F3.

It's a manual focus lens, dunno how well the D70 handles those.

Thanks Dan

So it will go on but will have to go manual with it.

Thanks

Make sure you understand exactly how the camera's metering will work with the older lenses.

AL series
Manual focus with electronic range finder to max aperture of f5.6 or faster.
Camera exposure meter cannot be used. Now that's a bugger!
