I've tried out three printing sites - Shutterfly, Photoworks, and a few goodies at Cafepress, but none of them are meeting my standards for quality printing...

I'm wondering if anyone has a tried-and-true upload'n'print'n'deliver website they can recommend? The at-home printing process just isn't working for me right now, and I'm going to an arts fair this month to try and sell some photos...so help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Katy

I can recommend a website for quality. Not sure about delivery to that part of the world.

You could also try Ofoto, which appears to be a joint venture between Kodak and Amazon.

//www.dpcprints.com is excellent quality from my experience.

I found a local place that does excellent prints for about the same price as DPCPrints with a 2 day turn around.

Do you have a local camera store that does quality prints? If so, I would go there.

Cool, thanks y'all!

I'll try out Ofoto since I get some free prints hehehe, but I couldn't find basic pricing on DPCprints...this is for personal use, not for selling online...so I'm not sure if that's my best bet? Dunno! As for local shops, I could sure go that route since I'm in NYC and I know there's plenty around, but I don't know of any in particular! B&H partners with other companies, but they're expensive as all hell...I'm not sure if they do basic printing. So yeah, I'm looking for great excellent stellar quality...but for dirt cheap :)

Thanks again!

With DPCPrints you can buy your own prints for the base price, and you dont have to make them available to anyone except yourself if you don't want to. I'm not sure if there is a list of all base prices, but for a 4x6 it is $0.36, for an 8x12 it is $2.70, and for a 20x30 it is $14.10 for example. This is the cost of printing and nothing else. DPCPrints don't make any profit off these prices so they are as low as you can possibly get. Lots of other places I expect charge a markup on top.

Establishing a relationship with a local pro shop is probably your best bet. Also, try West Coast Imaging if you have a critical eye for quality; they are not cheap.

Ben, thanks for that...the exact info I needed but couldn't find! Cool beans...

And Dwool, mygod they're expensive! If I could swing it, I would, but I can't, so I won't :)

Thanks everyone,
Katy

I've had good results from Adorama

I used togophoto.com before they became WinkFlash

I was very happy with the prints, both 4x6 and 8x10. Inexpensive, too!

I have the best resutls from Kellards.com I have tried a few online printing services and sombody is yet to beat their quality prince and service.

I think they are running a seale now for 8x10's at only 1.49.

In addition to DPC Prints for maximum size flexibility and best quality, if you are a Costco member they now have a service where you upload the images and pick them up at your local store the next day. Can't beat (so far) a 14-cent 4x6, and I've gotten good color consistently, at least at my store.

Ritz Camera (and Wolf) have a similar upload/pickup arrangement, sometimes with as little as a 1-hour turnaround.

I just ordered a 16 x 24 150dpi print from dpcprints of my deja vu challenge entry. I'll probably post about my thoughts of it when it gets here in a week or so.

I use Winkflash, but I think anywhere that uses a Fuji Frontier will make excellent prints. Winkflash prints and ships within 24 hours, and arrives in 3-5 business days.

Mine too. You are so altruistic to not hide your referral link in there : )

After reading this thread last week I tried winkflash. I placed an order for five 8x10's at about 9pm on Wed., got an "order shipped" e-mail at 10:30am on Thurs., and the pics arrived in Monday's mail (remember there was a holiday weekend in there too). Total including Shipping was $10.94 and the prints are equal to or better than anything I have found locally. Good quality, fast service, not too expensive and hassle free means I'll use them again. They are in Rhode Island so shipping to the west coast may take a little longer. Highly recommended, give them a try.

I use MPix and have been nothing but satisfied with the quality, speed of shipping, and secure packaging.
