Lucky 7 - Alternates any better?

I was a little disappointed with my results for Lucky 7:

In hindsight I realize the subject was a little to eclectic, but in my struggle for a "clean" image, I forgot to pay enough attention to the subject.

Do you think either of these shots might have done better?

Do you have any suggestions on how I could have better realized this idea?

Some observations that seem to suggest themselves: No blue bottle - some people hated it, some seemed to like it, but looking at it now, I think it is a distraction. No money - seems to be a DPC taboo, plus it confused the subject. Ideally I would have liked 7 copies of the square bottles, but I didn't have that many - and getting more would have been expensive and messy - they're olive oil bottles.

I like your second outtake better as I think the negative space improves the composition. I think one of your major setbacks was the title... pretty confusing, and it was off-putting from the photo in my opinion.

Could you tell us what you were trying to say with this photograph? I have wondered because I see neither rhyme nor reason in the subject. Now that is just my opinion but I would love to know what made you commit to this photograph and submit it. BTW I gave it a 5 because of the lack of understanding the subject and title but you did have good technique.

Original shot was good, but didn't quite match the challenge...7 items, all identical.

All are great photos tho.

I was trying to say "Here are the bottles that I use to save dimes. I like the shapes and colors, let me try to distill the way I see them."

With that being said I believe it would have been better [imo] if you had distributed the dimes out in each bottle at different levels and had the title more understandable. Your focus, color, lighting is good. If the above would have been done I may have scored it a 6 or 7.
