Maybe this has already been suggested, but here goes...

A Second Chance
A follow-up to the Deja Vu challenge. Find a promising past challenge entry (not your own) that didn't ribbon and see if you can give that concept the top finish it deserved. You'll have the benefit of the past challenge comments, but no special rules (Advanced Editing only).

As to the OP, I'm all for it.

should be confined to less than top 10 tho IMHO, since the best 10 are so often of the same HQ

Good idea...maybe restrict it bottom 50%?
Then we can see how hard it is to copy a bad entry LOL
or how easy it is for someone else to fix our own lame entry attempts.

Perhaps re-enter one of your own that flopped...see if you have larned anything.

I think this is a great idea. My Deja Vu photo is doing better than anything else I've entered for a long time, though I do feel it's suffering for not being close enough to the original. This is a great way to learn and we should have this kind of challenge more often.

I think it was : "angry kitty ready for a scratch your eyes (intentional abstract, if you give me a 1 you're stupid)."
