I almost submitted this one. (unedited)
(I was going to call it "Inconsolable".)
Better or worse than ?

Worse. Including the woodie with the woodies would have (to me) been a bit too much of a gratuitous attempt at latching on to a current "hot" topic here. Other than the very simple connection of the name, no underlying purpose jumps out at me.

Here is the shot I would have entered if I had submitted. Coffee Break

My out take is a quickie edit...
and the entry i went with

The bulb alone seemed too dull. The hand balanced it a bit. I got good comments, so i am happy with the end result.

For me, much better.

The other one would have scored much higher with me. By the way, where is that giant woody you mentioned a while ago?

I really liked your entry and thought that it would have scored much higher. :(

Not really an out-take, as there was no actual 'take'. Didn't submit because it seemed over-processed to me, over-blown on the dodge/burn front.

Aww you should have submitted that Ed, it's great, really moody. Reminds me of that one with the sofa...

Ed, I would have scored that well.....and what's wrong with blatantly overprocessed images in the broken challenge, anyway? (wink, wink!)

Entry:

I'm glad I made the choice I did, due to the number of good lightbulb entries. Although I prefer the look of the first one, the second one has something that helps make it a little more unusual.
