After seeing some of the pics from ButterflySis in this thread I made myself go to the museum (I'd been meaning to go for a while.)

First, I saw the butterflies:

Then I walked around the Rose center planetarium and got a few shots:

The first two are intentionally out of focus.

Finally, I headed to the frogs:

All were shot with the 70-200 which was the WRONG lens to bring (except maybe in the Rose center.) Very little processing was done on any of the shots. I boosted saturation on a few, sharpened some, and didn't crop many.

Please let me know what you think - I'd really appreciate brutally honest appraisals. Not that I'm feeling masochistic. :^)

Thanks,
Ara

The last frog pic is the best. He reminds me very much of Jabba the Hutt. Regal looking, with a hint of the ridiculous.

Since the comments have all been for the last shot, here is the uncropped version of the #9 froggy pic:

I was going for an OoF frame of leaves around him - I know it's "too" centered, but I like the soft lines around the frog.

Here are two more:

The first is another of the monkey frogs and the second isn't such a great shot, but I love the color.

I like this uncropped version.

It has diagonal lines on both sides leading to the head area. Making the picture a classical triangular composition which is usually centered. It could be cropped a little closer on the top and two side, but leave in the triangular lines leading to the center.

thanks! that was the original idea, but it didn't translate exactly from what i saw in the viewfinder. when i cropped for DPC, i cropped tight to show as much detail as possible at 640.
