Just curious how can I become a member of the critique club ?
Is there any requirement that I need to satisfy to be a member like I should have won a ribbon ( which I haven't) or need to have a minimum average score received or min. of challenge participation ?
If none, then I am sure interested.
I tried to find out how to become a critique club member, but didn't find anything.

I emailed saying i would like to be a member and never recieved anything!
Guess i dont have what it takes to be a member or even have what it takes for them to tell me NO you cant be a member.
So I have NO idea how you should go about it but throwing my 2 cents in.

Send a PM to Manic or Konador and let them know you are interested.

| Ok so the only response I got is to pm either Manic or Konador. I think I should do that then. |

Yep, unless you don't want to become a member of the Critique Club. ;-)

I was hoping if they see this post, then they might point me to what to do without me sending them a pm :P |

That's all you have to do. Send one of them a PM and let them know you want to join the Critique Club. That's it, no secret ritual or anything.
Anybody can join, they just have to ask.

The general rule of thumb criteria that I use is that the applicant has entered at least one or two challenges, and has made some comments on challenge entries. The idea is that the applicant should understand the challenge rules & site ethos (which can be gained from entering), and not make terse or insulting comments. If the applicant meets this (very minimal) criteria, I sign them up, give them some examples to start from, and let them get to it! FYI, we also check over the first critique by each new CC member, to help ensure they're on the right lines, but other than that we just leave members to do critiques as and when they can.

| Is there such a thing as a critique club now? |

Yes, it's still running, but we're continually swamped with requests, and with only a small number of active CC members (about 25 had critiqued in the last month when I checked last), only a small percentage of requests ever receive a response... New volunteers are always welcomed! :o)

| Yep, can understand that. If I feel comfortable to be a part of it, I would apply. But right now, I don't think I should even be posting here :) |

Why is that? Your commentaries are some of the most insightful there are on DPC.

| Kylie, I didn't recognize you with that hat on :) The comment was more about the state of mind at this very moment. |

*waits rather impatiently in the hope that her first critique is checked*
I do hope it wasnt too harsh, but I do find some things kind of unforgivable in photography... one of them being a lack of focus... especially if its a macro! |
