hi all i just got a new digi light kit with a thousand watt hallogen lamp, barn doors and a silver/white umbrella. The thing is I am not sure on exactly how to use it to improve my photos so any tips or set up or examples would be great...thanks

Ahh, gear usage isn't important... It's how good it looks in your camera bag / studio. Well, at least that's how I justify power tools to my wife :)
