It was a hard time for me deciding a Yellow Challenge entry. Here are two more (among many others):

Krystal is a very beautiful model. She's a student of mine who also happens to be professionally working as a print ad model and actress here in Thailand. Here are more shots of her that I took in a span of 3 months:

But here's my favorite. If I had more time, I could have re-shoot this scene for the wind challenge.

Anyway, i mad a pact with Krystal that I won't stop photographing her til we get a ribbon. She's a Senior now so I hope I will achieve this before June. :)

Your comments about tehse portraits will be greatly appreciated.

Well, I think your entry for Yellow was great, a 10 from me. These are all fantastic. I'm sorry, I have nothing constructive to say, I love them.

I voted your challenge entery pretty high but just thought the hot spots were a bit too numerous. For some reason this model just looked like she needed softer lighting and I think that would have helped the yellow color too.

"Yellow Krystal" is superb. The lighting is drop dead perfect, and that veil really adds a lot of interest. This shot I would have given a 9 or 10 for the challenge.

"Kissed by the Wind" is as close to being a perfect portrait as I've ever seen, maybe since your last perfect portrait "eyes". You're gifted. If you're not making a living from this, you should be.

I'm just starting portraits and appreciate how difficult it is to bring all this together now. Great work as always.

Hi Manny.

Well, I'm not any kind of expert, but had your entry for Yellow Revisitted been a little less contrasted, I would have given it a 10, rather than 9.

Of the others you listed below, the last one is my favourite and a clear 10. The others are all 8 to 10's. And you should know, anything I vote higher than 6 is generally better than my best, for what that's worth.

I'm curious - are there any young woman in Thailand that aren't beautiful? (Best not answer that!) I've never seen one that made me look away, that's for sure. The people there seem to take great pride in presentation both personally and of their environment - either that or they're exceptional at tourism advertising. :)

Thankds for those who take time to look at my new portraits in my portfolio. For those who haven't please do. Krystal is such a good model and i am very glad she is very cooperative. I am building up pictures for her portfolio and she is helping me achieve good pictures too.

"The way to her heart" was very good, but I think the lighting in "Yellow Krystal" is absolutely amazing. I do think "The way to her heart" was a good entry for you, it a nice slightly high key portrait and maybe a little different for you. I would have known that "Yellow Krystal" was yours the minute I saw it.

The rose in "on the wings of love" is a little too blown out from my perspective and it draws attention away from her face. Again it good, but doesn't have the same power as "Yellow Krystal".

I also like "Mystery" a lot, probably because the image has so much mystery. The lighting is wonderful and the fabric adds a dynamic line and interesting texture.

The other images are good, but "Mystery" and "Yellow Krystal" just blow me away.

I was expecting that you would get a ribbon with this one. Your entry was fantastic which got one of the 2 tens I gave. Fantastic stuff.
