Would love to hear some feedback as of which version of each two. Any other general comment/remark/enlightenment will be most appreciated!
In each two, the color version is almost as-is. No color retouching except for some contrast. The b&w version is actually duotone of black and some very light orange.
Also, to all those who asked me that during the parts challenge: no sharpening filter was applied to any of the images. This is the Zebra's actual skin texture.
Thanks!

I like the black and white for the first set and color for the second although either works for both. I guess it depends on what mood you are wanting to portray. The second set is a very up-close and personal portrait and the color adds some warmth whereas the black and white becomes less of a portrait to me and more of a study between the tones, form, and shadows. |

I agree with moodville...#2 & 3.
But I think they all look great, it's just a matter of personal preference. Nice pics!

Thanks moodville and SummerBreeze!
I never thought of the mood as an influence here. That's interesting! But I guess you are right. Yesterday I liked #4 more, but today I think #3 is better :-)
Every day we see something new!

I really like 2. I think 3 and 4 are cropped too close. I think it would be better with a hint of nose, ear, or mane to give it some perspective. |

:-) Thank you very much for the feedback!
Unfortunately, I can not re-crop #3&4 since this was taken for the parts challenge, and This is exactly the picture as I took it. No nose there to add :-(
