		| | I have a D70 and I'm still learning alot about photography and the camera itself. Where I live I can get great shots of the moon but I'm not sure just how too? My biggest lens is 70-300mm. Can anyone give me some tips??? |

		| | ISO 200, handheld 300mm almost maxed, not all the way. Full moon on F7.1-F10 any where from 1/500 to 1/800+

Don't be thinking that you should max your light intake. Remember, the Moon is a reflection of the Sun. Even a short extended time 'staring' at it will simply burn your shot from any detail.

On a tripod, at 10x zoom and 1.6x teleconverter (total about 610mm) 1/40 second shutter, 5.6 aperture, ISO 50, manual focus out to infinity.

Play with it a little and you will get it. Tripod is a must, any movement kills the shot. Partial moons are much easier to shoot.
