No, I sleep... as does most of the site users. Remember the site is US-based and most of it's users are there. It's 4:36 AM where I live... I'm not usually up this early, but I have to travel today.

That has not been set in stone as will be determined by the number of participants who sign up and the overall look/feel of the project.
Canada and Australia have a good shot at being represented on a province-by-province basis.

Haven't lived in those. Currently living in Malta, but travels will take me through the other mentioned countries this summer for about a month each. I was simply thinking that there may not be to many DPC'ers from those areas.
Originally posted by ClubJuggle: Originally posted by dpdave: Aww, shoot Clara, lives are over-rated. I haven't had much of one in 15 years. I'll give Malta a shot, and if it's open long enough, we will be travelling through Cyprus, Turkey and maybe Greece next summer. I could do, like, standby for them...
How long will this be open, by the way?
Edit for the question. |
Have you lived in Cyprus, Turkey or Greece?
The deadline for this project has not been set yet. I need to confer with Clara and Lee on that as my goal is to release the final product for this project at the same time as the 50 states project.

Is there something in concret you want? when is due this project? with this i mean if it has a date to present the photos? thanks in advance. |
The due date has not yet been set, but will be announced with plenty of time to spare. You will have plenty of time, much more than in a challenge.
As to the subject of the photograph, the choice is yours. Show us what makes Portugal uniquely Portugal. It may be people, a landscape, a landmark, or something else entirely.

You'll have plenty of time if you want to take a roadtrip. Of course, if you want to do the chocolate fondue, you can do that as well. ;-)

For this project, as with Fifty States, I am not making primary and alternate assignments. Everyone assigned to a country may submit, and the one or more entries will be chosen by the project editors.

I'll put you down as alternates for those then.

If we're doing provinces, I could do BC, Alberta or Ontario. (From BC, going to school in Alberta, girlfriend lives in Ontario and I visit (and will live there next summer) regularly).

I would imagine England could be fairly well covered too.
I could do Lancashire or Cumbria.

I've got photos from the Channel Islands that I can dig up (OK, I only lived there for a month), and I can probably wander back to Wales if no-one else wants to take that one :o)

I would love to do Switzerland, was born and raised here and, after spending two years in NYC, live back "home" in Zurich. Grew up in Bern (our capital) and never had a chocolate fondue till I came to the States - so much for Colda's suggestion for a "typical" Swiss subject... If fondue, then please go for the real thing, cheese :-)
Cheers,

Only right now have I seen this thread.
Would love to take part as well, representing my own country - Israel.
Is that still possible?
Thanks!

ohh I forgot! If there's any need and I can use pictures already taken, I can also represent Romania - where my family's origin is.
Last pictures are dated from July this year.

IN the interests of poor colda not hurting himself while shooting the chocolate fondue I insist on sampling the subject first.
Can't have our photographers injuring themselves now can we? :)

Count me in for Canada, or keepme as an alternate. Whatever you need.
I could represent the province of Nova Scotia or atlantic Canada as a whole (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland) if no other people from those provinces show interest.
