Shannon and got married just over 3 weeks ago and we are taking our honeymoon in the Florida Keys in a few more weeks. We have never been there before and was wanting some good ideas where to go and what to see.
We are staying at Hawks Kay resort on Duck Key.

Congrats jab! Or my condolences? JK! I wish you both the best of love and life that this world has to offer! I have been to the keys a few times in my life! Take a drive down to Key west, and take a all day catamaran that lets you kayak, snorkel, eat, drink, and get back in time for a beautiful sunset and a sangria! What a great day that was! I have done it a few times. Hit captain Tonys and the Green parrot. I am a HUGE Parrothead, but Margaritaville dissappointed even me. You NEED to hit Mallory square at sunset at least ONE time!

Pitsaman, I was looking at your photos from the keys, very nice well done. I do have just one small grip with this photoPhoto
The title is Southmost Park in USA, we here in Hawaii kind of figure we are in the USA and as such that park is not even close to the south most park, South Point on the Big Island is, if you are limiting it to states.
Still very nice photos. |

| The climate this time of the year in Florida is wonderful and very comfortable. No humidity, balmy days in the mid 70's and very little rain. Only thing is I found the water to be a bit cool for swimming. I visited Islamorada some years back and loved every minute of it. Jamaican calypso bands played almost every day I was there and going this time of the year was not crowded at all. There's a few artist colonies and plenty of places to stop off on the road side and get art nick-nacks and doodads. Sunsets are gorgeous there, so don't forget to bring your camera and plenty of film...kidding of course :). Gets a bit cool at night there, so dress appropriately. Enjoy your honeymoon and congratulations!!! |

Our island, the Big Island, is not crowded at all. Whereas you can find some beaches that are crowded there are great spots that are pretty empty. This beach is normally pretty empty and is very close to home , we love going there at night for a picnic and whale watching, when they are here in the winter months. |

I would highly recommend snorkeling at John Pennecamp State Park in Key Largo. Also, in Key West, the Conch Train is a fun touristy thing to do early on - we enjoyed it more than we expected.

Kosta,
Southern most park issues aside, my only question to you about that image is this...
Can you introduce me to the fine lady siting on the wall? :)
