I am getting a ounce in a lifetime chance of going to The Manchester for thanksgiving dinner. This is a local very upscale hotel that serves very rich familes for thanksgiving. My family was willed the dinner reseravtion from my great grandfather who passed away in may, and all of the local "who's who" will be there. I know there will be a pretty big name piano player there and 3 Ice sculptures. I am hopeing to take my camera with me and posably some business cards, has anyone ever photographed an event like this? If so do you have any tips for me? |

enjoy your meal, but don't act like paparazzi. this doesn't sound like the type of place where the patrons go to have the picture taken ; ) i'm sure, though, there will be a lot of interesting things to photograph, especially on the outside. |

My advice would be to be discreet! Don't use the flash unless you have to, and ask permission (or at least get your subject(s) to acknowledge the camera) before shoving it in their face(s) :o)
