Here another set of photos, where I am playing around with lighting. Again your help is appreciated.

You are getting the hang out of photoshop thats nice. imo i like more 2 and 3. the other one seems a little out of focus to be, but that might just be me. You could try and crop the first one a little bit more but the rest is nice imo.

Tatoo should have the color remaining and the shirt should be de-satuarated.

Your attention is brought to the shirt because of the remaining color. Check out some of my de-sat to find out what I mean.

Since the tatoo is black, should I have added color to it or how would I do that to make it stand out?

one way you can take of the shirt i might help to give more infase to the tatoo. thats just my opinion. i think what faidoi means is that instead of desaturating the tatoo desaturate the shirt.
