Great stuff Steve, wish I was there with ya. We try to go to the 1st day of the New Years Day test every second year.
Unfortunatly my only shots are off my old Sony Digital Mavica.. 640X480
Not great :(
BTW already left a message at ADPOTD.

Thanks guys, I took hundreds to get those. The Clarke wicket was my pick. I have a new found respect for sports photogs... hard yakka. We will have to organise a Cricket get together for the brissy dpcers next Gabba test.

Australia by an innings and 100+ runs. NZ was dismissed for 76 in their second innings. It was a contest until drinks on the third morning.

I would just like to point out that I'm possibly the only US DPCer who totally understood this whole conversation. :)
Looks like you guys had an awesome time. I need to get back to Oz sooner rather than later. Brissy is on my list of cities to visit. I also need to visit Darwin.

As a true queenslander I think it is hereby my obligation to chime in...
How good was Glen McGraths innings, the stuff of Legends.
And speaking of tail-enders, here's a bit of Trivia... who has scored the most test runs without a century ? |

Well done - it is indeed good ol' Warney - how good was that 99 against new zealand a few years ago... I'm surprised the Kiwi had the guts to take that catch, I would have deliberately dropped it at that point :).
Oh, and by the way, the pics are great... well done... I want your lens ! |

I used the Canon 100-300 EF lens on my 300D. Geoff (gajmaj) used the Canon 100-400L on his 20D.
I am glad you like them. It was a challenge to get them. It was Geoff's first attempt at sports photography. I have shot Rugby League before but Cricket is very different 2Hr of nothing and then 1/1000th sec of magic.
