Does anyone know any good star maps on the net. For free and how to easily read them? Or a site that give instructions to where to point your telescope to the sky instead of your neighbors window. ;)

Lol not really. But the site you gave me tranquil doesn't help too much how to learn to point the telescope. I've been to that site and i got a little confused because i'm a real beginner.

What scope do you have?
Do you want to photograph the sky or just look?

I have a bushnell 345 and i was thinking of upgrading to the Meade ETX-70 with "go to" function because there is a shop near my house that has a cheap offer for that telescope, but people have told me it's not really worth it, what do you think? i want to photograph and see some planets and nebulas. On this site CLick Here it says that you can see 1471 things with this telescope. any help would be appreciated.

I have a Meade etx-70 which is a fun little scope but not ideal for photography. For my astro pics i use an orion 8 inch reflector which has duel drives which tracks the motion of the stars. The etx 70 tracks in a different way which is not suitable for the long exposures needed for nebulas. Although the etx can be used if you have a wedge but it`s still only a 70mm scope.
Astrophotography is fun but frustrating.

So you think its a nice upgrade, still keeping the bushnell 345 for pohotgraphy and the meade etx-70 for astrology? can you see many things witt that telescope?

Look in a search engine for "SkyGlobe" - a DOS program that gives you an image like a planetarium.
See a screenshot here:
