When one attempts to submit a photo to a challenge with a file size over the 150K limit (I really think the limit should be larger, but there are other threads on that!) the submission is rejected and what is worse is all of the submission information you typed in is discarded, so you need to re-type everything after re-sizing the photo.
Why not change this rejection process to save all the submitted information and give the user a re-try option. It could go something like this:
1 - User submits photo over the size limit.
2 - Submission is rejected because of this.
3 - All submission information typed in by user is saved.
4 - Along with rejection message is a message box saying "Retry submission after correcting file size" with yes and no buttons.
5 - User can then go to Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop, or whatever, resize the file, then click the yes button. If photo is now within size limit, the saved submission information will now be transmitted with no further typing needed by user.
6 - If desired, user can instead exit the dialog by clicking the no button.
Thank you for your consideration. |

This is a known issue that will hopefully be addressed in the near future. Thanks for being patient. |
