Those have a great feel to them! I like most of them a lot, even though I've never heard of the band. I especially liked 9, 12, and 15. |

Neat....
I love the primary colour look to a lot of these shots, it's very simple/clean and yet the images are not... If you get what I mean? Hmm, that didn't make sense...
Out of curiosity, what lens and settings were you using? What sort of shutter speeds were you able to get with the odd/variable lighting?

Thanks.
I was using the Canon 50mm f1.4. I found that cloudy white balance, iso400, f2, and 1/90 did the trick for a lot of the shots. I also usually had to prefocus on someone, switch to manual focus, and then raise the camera above my head a bit and take several shots to get some nice shots above the crowd.

Arrrrr, big hole for the light to get in. :-).
So you were quite close to the front then as well? I would have though an incubus concert would be a bit of a crush/push event for carrying a DSLR? Did you feel 'safe' with the camera, or were you actually not in the main audience?
Cheers, Chris H.

Well, I found that if I stood near the far left and far right of the stage I could get quite close and avoid the majority of the crowd. I felt pretty safe, there wasn't really a lot of pushing at this concert.
My buddy had a press pass and was able to stand between the audience and the stage, he also had his 70-200 f/2.8 IS.. GRRRRR....

Ahhhhh, lens envy, I know that concept. :-) Still you got some great shots, and had to work harder for them....
