Anybody know for sure? I don't know if it works that waythat way... they're only 5mm appart, I would think they'd hit 1:1 almost exactly at the same focus length? Seems to me more likely that the Canon goes past 1:1?


Doubt if it uses a ratio higher than 1:1, but it useful if you can be slightly further away from subject and still get 1:1.

Ordered my sigma 105mm f2.8 EX DG MACRO lens today.
I can`t wait. Shame it won`t be here in time for the macro challenge.

i'll add that the sigma version ships with a case and lens hood for it, and i doubt the canon one does.

feels like a good soild build, smooth operation - medicore focus speed - though if you set it to 'limit' it seems a bit faster, and though i always tend to manually focus so it isn't an issue for me.
