Nice portrait. The looks on their face shows hope. With the support of your family you can succeed. They may be poor but they look happy. Sometime all the riches in the world can not bring about the wealth they have in the love they have for eachohter. Nice natural lighting and foucs. Nice tight frame.

Life: not so Grand

Nice night scene. I like the use of the buildings as leading lines into the alley. The homeless person is almost silhuetted. You can see his cart and dog next to him as he bends over to pick soemthing up. Nice play on words in the sign "Grand & Toys. You used a very wide angle in this one. There are a few things that distract me in this picture. The grate in the bottom right forground if you cropped it out it would bring my eyes closer on the scene of the man and the cart. Also the top part of the power lines and light pole could be taken out as well. It wouls still leave in the top of the loading docka nd the sign you mentioned in the name of the picture. These are my suggestions to make it a stronger picture.

Sad picture here. His only posession are his dog and a stuffed animal. Laying on the street. Nice focus and cropping.

Nice picture. The lighting and focus in this are great. She looks very sad and helpless. This would work in B&W as well.

This picture show someone playing the game of Monoply. Does this fit the description of Poverty? I realize interpertation is to the photographer. But to me the answer is no. How does it show real life poverty? Fake money and a game board? This should be in another comeptiton.

Nioce colors and expression in this one. The lines of age show on her face. You can see a sense of dignaty in her. I like the way she makes eye contact with the photographer. I like the blurred backround. You can tell she is on the street which is good.
