Very nicely done if a touch dark. I keep trying to see more detail in the parents shoulder. I think it would feel like it fits the challenge better if you weren't zoomed in so close. The first thing I saw wasn't a backside but a face. Another thing you might try for presentation is using a one pixel black inline then the white inline then the black border. It gives a bit more seperation between picture and frame.

Wow what a tough exposure. Your white is a little blow out (back of her hat) while the background is a bit too dark. Also I think that you're a touch oversaturated. The Amish wear clothes that tend to be subdued in colors and this makes her dress look too bright.
