Having a 10 year old boy I almost did a shot like this for this theme and also for sports. I wasn't gonna use so many toys (or are these D&D figures) though. This is a quite busy and the DOF is kinda shallow so my eye doesn't have a resting point. I can't find a 'subject' so to speak. Also the large unfocused object in the foreground really is (IMHO) distracting....

This looks like it would be a really cool subject for a macro shot but don\'t know how to pull it off well. The focus isn\'t quite there and thus isn\'t much of a \'grab\' for the eye...

How many shots did you take trying to get this??? Very brave as far as macro goes with what you had to focus on... Unfortanetly (IMHO) this is one of those shots that is either awesome or just doesn't get it. Love the colors of the threads. Best I can give ya is a 6.
