Nice high key treatment here. Great capture of the textures. A touch blown out in a couple of places though. Oh I would have turned it a touch so that the left horn doesn't seem to touch the head at the end of the curve...but that's being a little picky!

This shot has a lot of potential. I love what you are trying here and think you almost got it. You lose a lot of detail in the top part of the glass (both the bowl part and the base) where there is nothing behind it to contrast it against. I'm sorry but I don't know how to fix this without a different background or less harsh lighting.

IMHO this shot begs for a little more detail (or less detail) in the bottle...I keep trying to figure out what the label says and that kinda detracts from the overall impact of an otherwise simply elegant shot!

Nice study in shallow DOF but I'm not sure that that is the purpose of the form Still Life... This would be much more interesting with more in focus and with more interesting lighting to bring out the 'textures' of the keyboard. THe splotchy background past the moniter is not attractive...

Elegant in it's simplicity. Great lighting. I do think that the background needs to be lit evenly though. The light spot behind the fruit is a little distracting.

Nice composition but suffers from inadequate lighting. It needs (not much) fill lighting on the handle of the sword and the rim of the hat!

Holding Still

I'm not sure that this one qualifies as still life....but I like it anyways! It's an awesome shot overall. It does have a couple of flaws, like the bit of blown out highlites on the apple and stem. Also I would like to see the hand the ever slightest bit more in focus at the finger tips. This is one of my favorite shots from this set!
